Important Notice: Heavy & Oversized Items Policy
At Hat Movers and Helpers, we pride ourselves on providing a safe, efficient, and reliable moving
experience for our clients and our crew. To ensure the highest standard of safety and protect your valuable
belongings, there are certain exceptionally heavy, bulky, or specialty oversized items that we do not move.
Moving these items requires specialized rigging equipment, unique transit vehicles, and specific technical
training. Therefore, we strongly encourage our clients to utilize specialized third-party moving companies
who focus exclusively on transporting these specific items safely.
Items We Do Not Move Include:
• Pianos & Organs: This includes grand pianos, baby grands, and traditional upright pianos. Due to their
thousands of delicate internal moving parts, extreme weight, and structural complexity, they require
certified piano movers.
• Hot Tubs & Spas: Both indoor and outdoor hot tubs, jacuzzis, and swim spas. These require professional
draining, specialized electrical disconnection, and custom upright dollies to maneuver without causing
property damage.
• Slate Pool & Billiard Tables: Professional pool tables utilize incredibly heavy, brittle slate beds that must be
meticulously dismantled and re-leveled by specialized pool table technicians to prevent cracking.
• Commercial-Grade Safes & Gun Safes: Any high-security metal safes or vault doors weighing several
hundred pounds. These require heavy-duty stair-climbing equipment and reinforced vehicles to handle the
extreme concentrated weight
• Industrial Fitness Equipment: Heavy-duty, commercial-grade machinery such as integrated home gym
weight stacks, commercial treadmills, tread climbers and heavy ellipticals.
• Large Masonry & Stone Items: Items made of solid stone, such as concrete fountains, solid marble tables,
large stone statues, or cast-iron wood stoves.
How to Proceed
If your upcoming move includes any of the specialty items listed above, please let us know as soon as
possible. While we cannot load them into our trucks, we are more than happy to recommend trusted local
specialty movers who can work alongside our team on moving day to ensure your entire household gets to
its destination safely
